Designed for the Ram Promaster door hinges to prevent the door from fully swinging open and having the tire hit the side of the van when mounts are in place. One door check strap now comes with each spare tire mount order, however due to customer request we now sell these for extra straps for the other door (for example, when bike mounts are on the other door). They only come in one length, are not infinitely strong, and only allow the door to open about 100-110 degrees. That is straight back, plus a little extra. The are designed to keep the door from opening too far, but only if you are holding the door. They are not meant to allow you to swing the door open without holding on.
